I am pleased to inform you that the 2010 World Food Prize Award Ceremony will be webcast Thursday, October 14, from 7-8:30 p.m. Central (8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific). As you know, David Beckmann is one of this year’s laureates, along with Jo Luck, president of Heifer International.

To view the webcast, visit Bread for the World’s website. Watch it with your family, or host a few friends to celebrate the award. After all, the World Food Prize is a testament to your persistent advocacy on behalf of hungry and poor people.

We are blessed that this award is generating a lot of attention for Bread for the World. Lisa Miller, religion editor of Newsweek, recently published a profile of David, Dare to Care: A Minister and the Politics of Poverty.”

David’s new book, Exodus from Hunger, will be available at bookstores October 10. If you have not already done so, you can order it online.

Thank you for your continued support of Bread for the World.
