Even in these tough economic times, we can dramatically improve the lives of the 1.4 billion people who live on less than $1.25 a day.  With a new administration and a new congress we have an unprecedented opportunity to create change through our unified voices and our gifts of citizenship.

LEARN about Bread for the World’s 2009 Offering of Letters Campaign where we look at some of the root causes of hunger abroad through examination of our foreign assistance policy and through reform, change the system to reflect our modern time and the world’s needs.

LEARN what is going on in your local community in regards to improving our school lunch programs and Women, Infant and Children programs.

LEARN from experts on hunger through presentations that share experiences abroad and the nuts and bolts of hunger policy in our country.

BREAK BREAD together as we share a simple Lenten lunch of bread and soup.  There will be a free-will offering to offset lunch costs.

REFLECT on the biblical basis for justice in one of the three breakout sessions to choose from in the afternoon.

ACT and get your congregation or campus to make hunger history.

PLEASE RSVP by clicking here.

We hope to see you there!
